Universal Sevilla 1992
Pabellón de España
In
1992, (art)n was commissioned by Ramón Castan
for J.G. Buriel Productions to produce a moving PHSCologram
installation for the Spanish government's Pabellón
de España at the World's Fair in Seville Sapin.
Brad deGraf of Colossal Pictures was also commissioned
by Ramón to create an early character animation
of Roscoe-a virtual tour guide. (art)n and Brad deGraf
were both shown at Art Futura 1991 in Barcelona, where
Ramón first saw the work. (art)n and Brad deGraf
collaborated the following year (1993) to create a PHSCologram
of Roscoe, now part of (art)n's virtual film still series.
A selection of these pieces was shown in the SIGGRAPH
'92 Chicago Art Show, curated by John Grimes of the
IIT School of Design. In 1994, Rhona Hoffman showed
them in her Chicago gallery on Superior Street.
